The CMAA Indiana Chapter is hosting its February 2019 meeting on Thursday, February 28, 2019.  Please join us for a presentation by Alan Dale (see bio below) on the White River Intake (see description below).Project Description:During the 2018 Building Season Bowen’s project team completed a 70 MGD Pump station build along the White River in Indianapolis, Indiana for Citizens Energy Group. The pump station was constructed to supply water to Citizens 16th Street Water Treatment Facility that services the downtown district of Indianapolis. Citizens was required to build the project do to the US Army Corps of Engineers constructing Phase III of the Broad Ripple Flood Wall Projects, which is designed to close off flow from the Broad Ripple Intake from White River to the Canal. This intake is the only water supply source for the 16th Street Water Treatment Facility. The pump station is designed to supplement flow to the canal in the event that the flood gates are closed at the Broad Ripple Intake and flow is cut off to the Bio:As a 14 year veteran of the industry, Alan is a graduate of Purdue University's Building Construction Management program, and is a Project Manager for Bowen Engineering Corporation in Indianapolis, IN. Alan has managed multiple large Water and Wastewater treatment plant projects throughout Indiana, including a $100 Million upgrade to Citizen Energy Group's Southport Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. As a Project Manager, Alan is the principal client contact for all matters pertaining to an individual project, and manages large construction teams to ensure on time completion to the client's safety, quality and budget expectations. Alan works actively with site supervision, client project managers, site operations teams, subcontractors and field craft to build a positive, collaborative and accountable project environment resulting in exceptional outcomes for clients. In addition to his role at Bowen, Alan is a Member of the Indiana Construction Association, AGC of Indiana, ACE Mentors Program, and serves as a member of Ball State University's Construction Management Advisory Board.
