Doulas, do you wish you had more knowledge as you work with twin or triplet families? Have you been challenged by questions parents of twins have asked you? Are you curious what other families have done? Come learn from a doula and IBCLC who not only has a passion for families welcoming multiples, but who also teaches classes to expectant parents of multiples and has worked with over 600 sets of multiples in the past 14 years.
This advanced training is approved by CAPPA for 8 contact hours, and can be used for recertification with other organizations as well; please check directly with your certifying body.
We will cover these topics:

Prenatal interview & gear acquisition
Welcoming the family home, emotions and all
Planning to feed 2 or more; setup, equipment
Special considerations for premature babies
Scheduling/Routines; getting the most sleep
How we ALL eat
Swaddling options for twins/preemies
Live tandem feeding demo
Tandem baby wearing safety
Challenge scenarios for experienced doulas

Those just beginning their doula career as well as those seeking to enrich their existing doula practice can benefit from this workshop. Other professionals who seek to enrich their practice with families are also welcome to attend, however this workshop is designed for postpartum doulas.

Refund policy:
Refund in full if training is canceled. Payment can be used for future training (within 1 year of training date at another location, or next scheduled training in the area within 18 months), or transferred to another person. There is a $30 transfer fee to move to another training or to transfer to another person, unless training is canceled (no fees apply if training doesn’t fill). No refunds or transfers for no-shows, partial attendance, or last minute cancellations.

About the Instructor: Kimberly Bepler, IBCLC, ICPE, CPD/T (CAPPA)
Kimberly has over 14 years’ experience working hands-on with infants and their families, with over 600 sets of multiples. She teaches baby care, breastfeeding, twins and more, and new moms group classes, in addition to teaching postpartum doula trainings. She is an innovator of new approaches for caring for families with twins. Kimberly founded ABC Doula Service in 2001, and continues to serve clients daily with her team of doulas (currently 12).
